INEQUALITY & THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM IN GERMANY
FESSUD researcher, Daniel Detzer, has published a paper entitled “Inequality and the Financial System – The Case of Germany” in “The Pakistan Development Review”. The paper examines the relationship between changes in the German financial system during the 1990s and the 2000s, and what their role was for the observed increasing inequality in Germany during this time period. The content of this paper is closely related to work done also in the FESSUD project in particular in Work Package 2 and Work Package 3.
A longer version of this paper was originally written as part of the GLU/ILO project “Combating Inequality” and later on presented at the conference “Poverty, Inequality and Economic Growth” in Islamabad, Pakistan. This longer version can be found here.
