The aftermaths of the financial crises of 2007/09 continue. This conference will focus on understanding the causes and consequences of the financial crisis and the role of financialisation in the financial crisis. It will be concerned with the policy agendas towards the financial stability through regulation and macroeconomic policies.
The conference includes sessions in which FESSUD researchers present and debate their research findings, panel discussions on policy responses and key note speakers on reforms of the financial system.

€45 to include lunch and refreshments. PhD students €35 to include lunch and refreshments. Project members will pay a reduced rate. Dinner will be available as an additional option during registration.

Unfortunately onsite registration is not available during the conference days due to hotel booking regulations.

Will I receive a confirmation letter after I have finished registering ?
Yes. A booking confirmation will be sent to you by email as soon as payment is received and registration is completed. This is your receipt for the transaction.
Cancellations for delegate fees can be made free of charge until 1st October, after which the JM Hotel finalise their numbers and unfortunately cancellations will incur a full charge.

How can I find out information about hotels and their rates ?
JM Hotel Warsaw has limited number of specially reduced rates for participants.
There are other hotels to be found nearby such as the Ibis Warsawa Centrum, Hilton Warsaw Hotel & Convention Centre and The Westin Warsaw amongst others and can be found via a quick online search.
How can I book my room and should I pay in advance ?

Will I receive a hotel confirmation ?
Yes. A confirmation will be sent to you by the hotel via email.

How do I apply for a visa to visit Poland ?
Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. We suggest you contact your local Polish Consulate for full and official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedure that apply to you.
Where can I get a Conference invitation letter so that I can apply for a visa ?
After registering, please send a request for an official invitation letter to fessud@leeds.ac.uk. Please make sure to send your full name (as printed in your passport), full postal address and passport number. An official invitation letter will be created and sent to you by e-mail within 3 working days.
Is it possible to send an official invitation letter directly to my local Polish Consulate ?
Unfortunately we are unable to send invitation letters directly to consulates. Invitation letters are prepared solely for individuals and are e-mailed directly to them.
